Matt Callanan

Matt is the CEO of Exemplar Health, the Project Co responsible for the delivery of the New Melton Hospital Project which achieved Financial Close in 2024 and is on track for completion in 2029. 

This project includes Capella Capital as lead sponsor, investor, financial advisor and asset manager, alongside partners Lendlease (design and construction), Honeywell, Compass and Invesis.

Matt has more than 15 years’ experience across the full lifecycle of PPPs including procurement, construction phase, operations and handback.  Prior to joining Capella Capital, Matt was working with TSA Riley as an Executive Consultant.  Previously Matt was Portfolio Leader (Health) for Honeywell working across construction phase and operational phase PPP’s including Victorian Comprehensive Cancer Centre, Biosciences Research Centre Project (AgriBio), New Footscray Hospital and Frankston Hospital Redevelopment.
